Frequently asked questions
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Fishing zones, regulations, lakes, rivers and their plans, depth maps, species, lures, outfitters your fishing log and the narrated stories are all available without an internet connection once the app is installed. Zone detection uses GPS, which works even with no cell coverage.
Why can't the app find my zone?
Make sure CaMordTu can access your location: Settings → CaMordTu → Location → “While Using the App”. Under dense forest cover, give the GPS a few seconds to settle.
Are my catches sent anywhere?
No. Your fishing log stays entirely on your device. See our privacy policy.
Are the regulations official?
CaMordTu includes the general rules for each zone as published by the Government of Quebec, with a direct link to the official table for exceptions specific to certain waters. When in doubt, the official table always has the final word. Regulations are updated in the app each new fishing season.
Is the app in English?
Yes. CaMordTu is fully bilingual — English and French. An FR | EN switch at the top of every screen changes the language in one tap.
Is there a subscription?
No. CaMordTu is a one-time App Store purchase ($6.99 CAD), with no subscription and no in-app purchases. Updates are included.
Is it available on Android?
Not yet — CaMordTu runs on iPhone and iPad (iOS 17 or later).
